Two weeks ago, I had the privilege of exploring one of the Middle East’s most promising and underrated tech and outsourcing ecosystems: Jordan.
What began as a step into the unknown quickly became a journey of discovery—one that left me inspired, impressed, and eager to share what I saw.
A Deep Dive into Jordan’s BPO & ITO Landscape
Heading into the trip, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But what I found in Amman was nothing short of world-class.
From app and game developers to full-stack engineers, DevOps specialists, QA teams, and CX agents—Jordan is home to serious tech talent that’s already supporting some of the biggest names in retail and financial services globally.
Even more impressive was the strong focus on female participation in tech, which stood out as a marker of both progress and potential. The energy, ambition, and capability of the talent pool in Jordan is not just promising—it’s ready.
Why Jordan?
Beyond the people, Jordan brings together a compelling mix of advantages that position it as a powerful contender in the global BPO and ITO space:
- ✅ Rich history and cultural depth
- ✅ International business fluency
- ✅ Strong infrastructure
- ✅ Strategic geographic location
- ✅ Commitment to digital skills development
- ✅ Multilingual, digitally native workforce
This wasn’t just a quick tour—it was a deep dive into the heartbeat of a fast-growing global delivery hub.
Petra: The Perfect Finale
No trip to Jordan would be complete without a visit to the legendary Petra, one of the UNESCO Seven Wonders of the World. Standing there—surrounded by awe-inspiring architecture carved into rose-red cliffs—was the perfect way to end a journey that blended business insight with cultural wonder.

Gratitude & Connections
A massive thank you to Dana Darwish, Abdallah Al Dabbas, and the unstoppable Sean Goforth for organising such a phenomenal experience—and to Peter Ryan for the excellent recommendation.
To my fellow travellers—Humphrey Davis, Ahmed Refky, Amy Refaat Abdel-Razek, Farah Sinokrot, Sachin Kumar Badrinath, Zen Sithole, Mauricio A. Velasquez M., Andrew Wear, Rita N. Soni, Jeff Pappas, Dana Telegraph, Ismael Al-Hinti, Odeh Haddadin, Amira Qarqash, and Sarah A. Fanous—thank you for the camaraderie, insight, and endless laughs along the way. (And apologies if I’ve missed anyone—it was a packed and memorable trip!)
Looking Ahead
Jordan has all the ingredients of a future-forward tech and outsourcing powerhouse. It offers depth, resilience, and talent that I’ll confidently be recommending to clients exploring new global delivery destinations.
This wasn’t just a visit.
This was a discovery.
And it certainly won’t be my last.
